Description: The following boundaries represent the City of Providence's two Enterprise Zones, Port of Providence and Providence II. These boundaries are based on the US Census 2010 data. The Enterprise Zone Program is designed to offer tax incentives to businesses that expand their workforce at facilities located in one of the zones.The tax incentive gives C-Corporations located within the EZ district a one-time $2,500 tax credit for each new employee hired, and gives a $5,000 tax credit if that company hires a worker from any Enterprise Zone from throughout the state.
